Basque Center

601 W Grove St, Boise, ID 83702
The Basque Center is situated in the heart of the Basque block in downtown Boise. Not only does it have one of the best floors in town, it is conveniently located: steps away from numerous restaurants, walking distance of a number of hotels and airbnbs, and a 15 minute drive from the airport. Oh, and it has great AC!

Boise has the largest Basque diaspora in the United States, and is a great place to explore Basque culture and food.

The Basque block, where the center resides, also contains the Basque Historical Center and restaurants to try Basque cuisine, like the Basque Market, Bar Gernika, and Leku Ona.
The Basque Center was built in 1949 and is a gathering place for Basque people in the area. It helps maintain Basque heritage by supporting Basque dancing, events and gatherings. The Center acts as the primary home for two dancing groups, Boiseko Gazteak and the Oinkari Basque Dancers.

The Center is also home for a Basque music group, Txantxangorriak, that plays traditional music at many of the Basque festivals (Basque group that teaches button accordian, pandareta, and txalaparta).
