Covid Safety Policy

Release & Liability Waiver

Tree City Tango is an event by Tango Boise Inc., a registered 501c3 and qualified non-profit corporation. Upon registering, participants are required to read, accept, and agree to the Tango Boise, Inc. Release, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement (“Release”) and our Health, Safety, & Conduct, and Photo & Video Policy, and to our COVID Safety Policy (this page).

We reserve the right to institute additional safety protocols (testing, masks, etc.) as appropriate at the time of the event.

We can't wait until COVID is more manageable and special safety precautions aren't needed. But until then, we need to implement policies to ensure everyone can both feel safe and enjoy the event to the fullest.

Before the Event
  • Vaccine requirement: To complete registration you will need to provide proof of up-to-date vaccination which means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible. For Tree City Tango this means two shots of Moderna/Pfizer or one shot of J&J and at least one booster.  A person is considered “boosted” and up to date right after getting their booster dose. For more information on staying up-to-date, visit the CDC website.

  • Testing requirement: We are reserving a final decision on requiring testing until the event is closer, but be aware that it is possible we may require submission of a negative test to attend.

Can I attend if I can prove natural immunity/have a medical reason I can't get vaccinated/can provided a negative test the day of the event?
To our friends who are not vaccinated (for any reason): we still love you and are looking forward to dancing with you again at future events. As organizers, we believe the only way to ensure the safety of this event is to not allow any exceptions to our vaccination policy.

During the event
  • Testing: While we might require pre-event testing, it is unlikely we will require daily testing during the event.

  • Masking: We plan on having the event with no mask requirement. If extra precautions are needed, testing will be required before masks - masking is a last resort. Two things would trigger instituting a mask mandate:

    • A federal or local mask mandate is issued with which we would need to comply

    • A new, dangerous strain of COVID appears that causes case numbers/deaths to spike
